Cycle through the heart of Istria: vineyards, picturesque roads, coastal towns and unforgettable views of northwestern Croatia.
Istria Granfondo is regarded as one of the most scenic cycling marathons, taking riders through the wine-growing regions of northwestern Istria.
Expect beautiful panoramas, demanding climbs and exciting descents along roads around Umag and Novigrad. The event traditionally takes place in April.
Alongside the race, the event offers an Expo zone with cycling brands, activities for children, prizes and a lively atmosphere for participants and visitors.
According to the original event description, riders can choose the 94 km Istria Medio Fondo or the 119 km Istria Gran Fondo. A time trial is also part of the event programme. The routes travel through northwestern and central Istria and return to Umag.
The event became officially recognised under the UCI in 2023. Routes, dates and event details may change between editions, so check the organiser's website before planning your participation.
